gds-gds Group intensifies development of content delivery systems Jan Grüter as new Product Owner

Many years of experience as system consultant, web developer and IT project manager | With a focus on the targeted and structured use of content | Industry trend: Electronic publications are gaining ground

Sassenberg, July 12, 2018 – Fast, clear and efficient: Content Delivery Systems (CDS) are very much in vogue. The gds Group, a full-service provider for technical documentation, is now intensifying further development of its solution portfolio for electronic publications. Jan Grüter takes over as the new Product Owner for the EasyBrowse Content Delivery Systems family.

“The importance of CDS in the output of technical publications is growing noticeably,” says Grüter. The gds objective is therefore formulated clearly: “We want to create a platform that makes content available in a targeted and structured manner - online and offline, as well as independent of devices and locations,” explains the 36-year-old. He also says it is not only about the transformation to a new, purely digital medium, but above all about fundamentally different usage behavior for technical documentation.

Grüter is already very familiar with the gds Group’s world of solutions as well as with the development of demand in the editorial systems market: During his six years at gds, he worked in second-level support as an interface to software development. Grüter was also responsible for the product development of the author support system authordesk. The trained information technology expert also supported the introduction of agile software development and coordinated the development of the docuglobe editorial system at gds as Scrum Master.

He has many years of experience as an IT project manager with a focus on databases, ERP and PDM systems and in-house developments. The new product owner can also incorporate his expertise as a web developer, especially in integrating semantic search methods into online portals, in his new position.
