deepening partnership between
gds Group and Dutch VMO

Umbrella organization for 130 manufacturing companies based in the Netherlands | Joint network rally with classic cars, vintage cars and everyday vehicles as an opportunity for transnational networking on June 22, 2018 | Dutch language version of gds Group’s website

Sassenberg, May 22, 2018 – gds Group is deepening its cooperation with the Dutch umbrella organization “Verenigde Maakindustrie Oost” (VMO). gds, the full service provider for technical documentation, headquartered in Sassenberg, Germany, is intensifying its focus on the Dutch market, as there are 130 manufacturing companies represented by VMO that could benefit from the services provided by gds. As a sign of the intensified collaboration, gds is also hosting a transnational network rally where participants drive a specific route using a roadbook. In addition, the website of gds Group is also being translated into the Dutch language.

A part of the extensive collaboration between gds Group and VMO is to offer the editorial management systems of gds. These involve both docuglobe, the MS Word-based solution, and XR/engineering, the XML-based editorial management system. Furthermore, gds will give advice and support its Dutch partners in the preparation and translation of product documentation and during the implementation of the entire CE marking process. “These companies have all of the services relating to technical documentation available from one single source with the expertise of the experts at gds,” says Ludger Bruns, head of Service Consulting at gds Group.

VMO organizes a network rally for its members once a year. The focus is on joint networking rather than competition here. gds Group is hosting the event this year and is planning a trip through the Münsterland and Tecklenburger Land regions for its customers and business partners. Refreshments will be provided at a pit stop and at the destination. “This is where our customers and Dutch business partners will have ample opportunity to network,” explained Ludger Bruns. The registration fee is 55 euros. The rally is scheduled to start at 12.45 pm in Ibbenbüren, Germany, on June 22, 2018.

gds Sprachenwelt GmbH is providing the Dutch language version of gds Group’s website as a supplementary measure. The Dutch market continues to play a role of growing importance for gds Group and this is the next logical step according to Ludger Bruns. The intention is to underscore the growing interest in potential joint projects with companies and associations based in the Netherlands.
