Sassenberg/Düsseldorf, June 2, 2026 – With gdslive 2026, gds GmbH together with gds Sprachenwelt GmbH is looking back on a highly successful event. Two fascinating, intense, and inspiring days highlighted the importance of personal knowledge sharing, actionable insights, and specific solutions in technical communications.

On May 20, 2026, gdslive once again became the meeting point for specialists from technical documentation, information management, and mechanical engineering. A warm-up on the evening before the event kicked off proceedings in traditional fashion, giving participants the opportunity to arrive in a relaxed atmosphere, make initial contacts, and build anticipation for the event. The subsequent conference day at the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry provided a varied program consisting of keynote, specialist presentations, case studies, work phases, and networking.

Actionable insights relating to AI, compliance, and content delivery

The conference addressed topical issues facing technical authoring departments and information managers at the moment: artificial intelligence in everyday editorial work, the Digital Product Passport, product compliance, modular content, content delivery, self-service, and new forms of information delivery. Case studies showed how companies can further develop their information processes, manage regulatory requirements, and sensibly integrate new technologies into existing workflows.

Items on the program included presentations on the AI revolution in the CCMS, the Digital Product Passport in mechanical engineering, the rollout of a topic-based content management system at WITTENSTEIN, product compliance at technotrans, self-help and self-service offerings, as well as AI agents in information delivery.

Once again, the open knowledge sharing among peers shaped the event. The roundtable discussions enabled participants to discuss on a practical level the rollout of content delivery systems, the replacement of content management systems, quality assurance in AI-based translation, and the responsible use of AI in everyday editorial use. The enthusiastic participation and the intense discussions highlighted just how valuable this interactive format is for the community.

The new location also went down really well. The conference rooms at the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry with their central location, state-of-the-art equipment, and pleasant atmosphere, provided a suitable framework for concentrated working, personal discussions, and high-quality networking.
