Easy and efficient: A new version of the ARC-Desk Web Portal available

Sassenberg, May 14, 2019 – Informative, exciting and well attended: Once again, the gdslive event on May 08 in Düsseldorf was very well received. The event scored with practical presentations on a wide range of topics related to technical documentation. The gds Group, a full-service provider of technical documentation, not only hosted the event but was also represented with specialist presentations. gdslive's third event was quickly sold out and is now fully established in the industry's round of events.

“Once again, gdslive was a complete success. A large number of guests even thought that we even surpassed ourselves in comparison to last year”, said Ulrich Pelster, Managing Director of gds. Visitors were offered everything, from panel discussions on legal basics to testimonials from customers from different industries to training courses for agile work. The day at the Haus zum Kurfürsten in Düsseldorf offered a casual and relaxed atmosphere in which the guests exchanged ideas.  “In general, the feedback was excellent. Speakers and visitors confirmed that we have created something very special with this event. That makes us very proud.” Both internal and external speakers spoke at the event, so that topics could be examined in many different ways and from different angles. Praise was heaped not only on the contributions but also on the opportunity to network and exchange experience.

Practical examples, discussions and workshops

The informal get-together the evening preceding the event already generated positive feedback from participants and speakers, with lively discussions continued on the following day. At the third event of the full-service provider for technical documentation, the twelve topics ranged from self-leading teams to legal basics and a networked information flow. Presentations that focused on technical documentation in an overarching context met with particular interest. The basics of classification, the XR editorial system or Machine Translation were also very well received. User reports and practical examples were also on the agenda. The positive response is also due to the special concept for the selection of topics: Before the event, participants had the opportunity to vote on the presentation topics, of which many made active use. gdslive is intended to promote communication at eye level and focus discussions on industry-driving topics such as iiRDS or content delivery.
