The status of an information module, module group, document and external file can be saved in docuglobe at any time by versioning the respective object. Objects are always versioned when a certain level of information must be retained. The required object is highlighted and the Defining versions function invoked. Versioned objects are marked with "V" and saved in the system along with the timestamp of versioning.
If an information module, a module group or an external file used in one or more documents is versioned, it is marked with to indicate that it contains versioned objects.
When versioning a document, the latest objects are automatically used and the old status of the document stored in the system with the timestamp of the versioning.
You can also archive a version of a document including its attachments so that it cannot be changed. Archived documents are stored as ZIP archive files in docuglobe. A document can have several different archiving versions.
